These heat mats fulfill all reptile desires. They are waterproof and have extra insulation for protection, making the Thermo Mat PRO great for use in wet environments. A special heat conductor ensures uniform surface heat. In addition, the thermal layer has a special overheating protector that deactivates the thermal layer in case of very high temperatures (e.g. local overheating due to unsuitable substrate). This minimizes the risk of fire and the risk of damage to the terrarium floor. However, it is essential to use the correct substrate and have a correct installation, as the thermal mat cannot be heated properly otherwise. The oval shape prevents the substrate from getting under the thermal layer.
